Interwar Peak (1918–1945) · Skillet
Used price$95–$120live on eBay
The Wagner Ware No. 7 is about 9½ inches across the top — a two-egg or single-steak pan. It carries the stylized Wagner Ware Sidney -O- logo and catalog number 1057 with a mold letter (for example 1057 B or 1057 E); heat-ring versions are the earlier castings and smooth-bottom pans the later ones. A small number of No. 7s have a centre logo layout and ask far more, so look at the logo photo before paying for that variant. Note that listings titled "7-inch" are usually No. 3s, not No. 7s. Before buying: check that the 7 and 1057 are legible (sandblasted pans often lose them), test for rocking or spinning on a flat surface, look for hairline cracks from the rim and spouts, and check for pitting and plating.
Common defects to inspect
Size and catalog number softened by blasting; warp or spin; hairline rim cracks; pitting; '7 inch' No. 3s mislisted as No. 7s
Note: Most listings ask about $95–120 delivered, with restored pans from about $80; centre-logo No. 7s ask over $200.
How to identify a real Wagner Ware
Stylized Wagner Ware Sidney -O- logo on the bottom with a four-digit catalog number (1058 on the No. 8 skillet, 1059 on the No. 9) and a mold letter; earlier pans show a plain WAGNER or Wagner Ware mark with SIDNEY O. and a size number. Later pieces read Wagner Ware with MADE IN USA. Magnalite pieces are aluminum, not iron.
Buying guide
From Oct 1, 2026 listings
12 genuine Wagner Ware No. 7 skillets (pattern 1057) were listed at the late-September check, and three have since gone, including the cheapest auction, the restored 7A and one of the two center-logo pans. Most ask about $95–120 delivered, and restored ones start near $80. Listings titled 7-inch are No. 3s; a No. 7 is about 9.5 inches. Check that the 7 and 1057 are legible on the heel, since sandblasted pans often lose them, and ask whether it sits flat. Heat-ring versions are the earlier castings and cost little more here. The remaining center-logo No. 7 asks $215, about twice the usual price; that variant is harder to find, so check the logo photos before paying for it.

The lowest total on a genuine No. 7, about $80 delivered, Buy It Now, from a 100% seller, under the $95–120 band, and the cut-off title reads restored. Confirm the restoration and ask whether the 7 and 1057 survived it.

A 9.5-inch No. 7 at about $97 delivered, Buy It Now, from a 99.4% seller, at the bottom of the $95–120 band; the size in inches rules out a mislabeled No. 3. Ask for a heel photo showing 7 and 1057, and whether it sits flat.
