Corn stick pans bake bread in the shape of little ears of corn and are among the cheapest vintage cast iron to buy. Most common pans are seven-stick: Griswold's full-size No. 273 (pattern 930) and small tea-size No. 262 (pattern 625), Wagner's Krusty Korn Kobs pans (patented 1920) and later seven-stick Wagner Ware pans, and Lodge's 27C pans. A few — the Griswold 262 and Wagner's tea-size 1317 among them — have been reproduced, with rough casting, sloppy lettering and wrong numbers as giveaways. On any pan, hold it to the light and check each cavity for a through-crack, prefer crisp kernel detail, and treat rust on the back as cosmetic. Most everyday corn stick pans list for roughly $20–65.
